Training in application Software by Industry Professional, to train others with preparation as TRAINER to empower.

Empowering areas are ACADEMIC SERVICE-ENTREPRENEURSHIP-DESIGN SERVICE-INDUSTRIES-SOCIAL ENGINEERING

Women graduate are given training for the selected department in application software for 3 months to become TRAINER
While training, Trainee has to prepare Training material as per LMS, Stipend will be provided on completion of  assigned
First year to Final year Women graduate also given training for the selected department in application software, Stipend will be provided on completion of  assigned as per year. CERTIFICATE will be provided to become a TRAINER in LMS

AIM of this training is to get employment directly or indirectly from Industries, Government organization either state or central bodies. Also to develop or support rural industries & other application industries either as induvial or self group

APM JOINTS

JOINTS

The details that make up the individual nodes are connected to each other, forming larger structural units, the totality of which leads to the formation of the whole variety of machines, mechanical devices, building and engineering structures.

The methods of such connections are diverse, as well as the methods of their engineering calculation and design. Connections are threaded, welded, riveted, etc.

Tasks to be solved

1. Design calculation

According to the given geometric parameters, acting loads and materials, the following are determined:

  • diameters of screws (bolts, studs) for a group threaded connection;
  • weld leg for a welded joint;
  • diameter of the weld point of the spot connection;
  • tolerances of linear dimensions and selection of fit for interference connections;
  • linear dimensions of keys, slots, profile, terminal and pin connections.

2. Check calculation

According to the given geometric parameters, acting loads and materials, the safety factors of static and fatigue strength are determined.

Load types:

  • static forces and moments;
  • time-varying forces and moments.

Calculation criteria:

Threaded connections with clearance are calculated according to the following criteria:

  • static tensile strength;
  • endurance;
  • non-opening of the joint.

Threaded connections without clearance are calculated according to the following criteria:

  • static shear strength;
  • endurance;
  • immovability.
JOINTS

All these types of connections can be designed using the APM Joint module. When calculating machine-building joints, well-known methods are used. The calculation of the connections of elements of building structures is carried out taking into account the specifics of such connections.

The APM Joint module is integrated into the line of software products developed at STC APM. Such integration involves the free transfer of data to the APM Joint from other software modules that make up the APM Civil Engineering and APM WinMachine systems . This approach allows you to significantly speed up the design process and eliminate possible errors.

In addition, the APM Joint module, supplemented with databases, can also function as an independent software product.

Functionality of APM Joint

The APM Joint module is designed to perform design and verification calculations of joints in order to select the best design options. This is provided:

  • the presence of a full-featured flat graphics editor;
  • the ability to import geometric information through the DXF format from third-party graphic editors;
  • the presence of functions for setting loads of various types;
  • generating reports with calculation results that can be saved in RTF format;
  • using customized material databases and other standard parameters when setting initial data and during the calculation process;
  • the ability to customize the APM Joint module to the required standards.

Welded butt joints are calculated from the condition of static and fatigue strength for normal stresses.

Welded lap joints are calculated according to the condition of static and fatigue strength for shear stresses.

Welded tee joints with a butt weld are calculated based on the condition of static and fatigue strength for normal stresses.

Welded tee joints with a fillet weld are calculated from the condition of static and fatigue strength in terms of shear stresses.

Welded fillet joints are calculated from the shear stress strength condition.

Spot welds are calculated based on static shear strength.

Cylindrical and conical joints with interference are calculated according to the criterion of static strength, as well as the conditions of non-opening of the joint and immovability.

Keyed, splined and profile connections are calculated for the crushing strength of the contact surfaces.

Terminal connections are calculated according to the immovability criterion.

Pin connections are calculated according to the condition of shear and crushing strength.

It should be noted that in order to improve the accuracy of calculations in the calculations of the most critical connections, you can use not only engineering methods, but also the FEM (finite element method) - such calculations can be performed using the APM Structure3D module .

Types of calculated and designed connections:

1. Threaded group connections under arbitrary loading, installed in holes with and without clearance.

2. Welded joints of the following types:

  • butt;
  • lap;
  • tee butt weld;
  • tee fillet weld;
  • corner; spot welding.

3. Rivet connections

4. Connections of cylindrical parts:

  • with an interference fit (cylindrical and conical);
  • keyway (prismatic, segmental, wedge and tangential key);
  • slotted (straight-sided, involute, triangular);
  • pin (axial and radial);
  • profile connections of various types;
  • terminal connections of various designs.
